The Anthropological Journal of Nepal and Himalaya (AJNH) is a peer-reviewed annual journal published by the Central Department of Anthropology (CDA), Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Established following the 2025 departmental split at TU, AJNH provides a dedicated platform for advancing anthropological scholarship in Nepal and the Himalayan region.

The journal aims to publish high-quality academic work across all subfields of anthropology, including social and cultural anthropology, medical anthropology, environmental anthropology, linguistic anthropology, political anthropology, development studies, and applied anthropology. It welcomes original research articles, theoretical essays, reviews, and scholarly reflections.

AJNH addresses critical social, cultural, ecological, and political issues relevant to Nepal and the Himalayas while encouraging comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal seeks to foster academic dialogue among scholars, researchers, and students both within Nepal and internationally, contributing to the growth of anthropology as a discipline in South Asia and beyond.
